Book a session to discuss what you need to just be a lawyer
Book a sessionOur law firm client was required to support an organisation who, over a period of 12 months, was issued Notices to Produce by both ASIC and APRA. The notices had, on average, a short response period of 15 days. Within this timeframe the end-client had to locate, collect, and transfer the data to our law firm client for the legal team to review the documents and prepare the response in the appropriate format. ASIC were quite prescriptive and detailed around the format of the documents required whereas APRA was less specific.
Our regulatory response experts worked with our client, and their end-client, to establish a process whereby data was swiftly identified, categorised, and then transferred direct to us. The documents (usually in their 1000’s) were uploaded, processed and sorted, made available to the legal team quickly (quite often overnight) and in a form and order that matched the notice requests. Our team performed a lot of the formatting required for the eventual production up front, or throughout the review, so that the relevant documents were ready to be produced once the review was completed. As is usually the case our team worked with our client around the clock to ensure that the response deadlines were met.
Our initial guidance and ongoing regulatory workflow support allowed our client to:
Promptly receive an ordered and structured set of documents from their end client
Gain access to the processed data in Relativity as quickly as possible
Conduct the most efficient and accurate review possible having access to the work product of their client
Have the around the clock support they needed to assist their client to comply with their deadlines
We make the technical, practical.
